Organic agriculture constantly needs observation and understanding of the environment in order to move forward, since a large part of the solutions to the problems must be sought in the knowledge of natural cycles. Every year we carry out trials and field tests to mitigate unsolved problems of organic production and also to generate new knowledge.
We carry out these investigations from the ADV and we often support and collaborate with research centres, universities or other entities. We do some of the tests with the collaboration of the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda, and we try to disseminate them in conferences and courses so that this new knowledge reaches other people.
Some of the subjects we work on are:
Pests and diseases in organic production
Specific essays on health problems of crops in organic production
Pollination
Studies of natural pollination with wild bees and recovery of populations
Nutrition and health
Practical studies on the relationship between pests, diseases and crop nutrition (Trofobiosis)
Soil microbiology
Studies where the decomposition of organic matter is measured and studies to evaluate the levels of microorganisms in the soil
