We are Jaume and Josep Anton, two brothers who dedicate our lives to farming. We began organic farming in 2007, because we believed that agriculture, and our way of life, needed to change.
The land we work on is located on the highest part of a hill, near the village of Ivars de Noguera. The soil is calcareous, arid and stony. This, together with the very hot dry summers, create a microclimate that makes the fruit extremely sweet, crunchy and flavoursome.
We produce a wide variety of fresh tree-ripened fruit. We preserve local varieties or replace them with similar ones. This allows us to have peaches until October or apples and pears until March. We start harvesting in May/June with cherries, apricots, nectarines, peaches and saturn peaches, and finish in November with grapes, apples and persimmons. We have our own cold chambers, that allow us to store some of our fruit, such as apples and pears, until April.
We pack our fruit in different formats and sizes, according to our customers’ needs. We use recycled cardboard boxes of different sizes (between 3kg and 10kg net depending on the product). We also prepare single variety or mixed pallets with the different seasonal fruits and ship across Spain, both to small traders and wholesalers.
We are members of the FRUITES APYFA SCCL Cooperative in Almenar (Lleida) through which, together with other members and colleagues, we market our organic fruit.
