Germans Coll is a family business run by the Coll brothers and established in Ivars d’Urgell, we produce organic apples, pears and plums. Our family has been farming for several generations, and have been certified organic fruit growers since the year 2000.
In the seventies, Josep Maria, the eldest of the Coll brothers, began experimenting with organic agriculture (currently his youngest daughter continues his work and is a member of the ADV). It was his example that convinced his father Jesús and uncle Albert to also become organic growers, over 20 years ago. Currently we grow apples, pears and plums from the end of July until mid-autumn.
We are proud of our job and the way we do it. Organic farming has positive impacts on both our natural environment, by contributing to protect biodiversity, and our social environment, by producing both healthy and tasty food, and promoting work opportunities to help keep people in the territory.
