We became organic farmers in 2018, as a family project, although our ancestors have been cultivating these olive groves for the last five centuries.
As part of our family project, we have planted new olive trees, obtained by entirely organic methods. In addition to this, we also use Regenerative Agriculture and Biodynamic practices. Our aim is to produce the finest quality olive oil, and do our bit to make the world a little better through sustainable agriculture.
As well as olive oil, we produce organic lentils, which we grow between the olive trees so that the nitrogen that they fix can help to fertilize the trees.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have a farm in the Vall d’Ariet, a magical place, located between the Sant Mamet mountain and the Montsec de Meià. Our farm is a patchwork of fields, olive groves and forest, at an altitude of 800 metres. This is the perfect place to produce high quality food that stands out for its uniqueness.
Being a part of the ADV project benefits us in many ways, and helps us to continue growing. As well as technical support, the association is a social network, through which we network with other growers who are in the same situation as us, and reach out to the public.
